School events and traditions provide opportunities for students to build friendships, strengthen our campus community, serve others, and create memories that last a lifetime.
Throughout the year, students participate in experiences designed to encourage school spirit, leadership, service, and spiritual growth. These traditions bring our campus together and help students understand that they are part of something bigger than themselves.
Each year begins with Meet the Warriors, an opportunity for our school community to celebrate and introduce our athletic teams. Students, families, and fans come together to support our athletes, build excitement for the upcoming season, and encourage our Warriors as they represent our school.
Homecoming is a special tradition that brings our entire campus together. Elementary students participate by decorating their classroom doors, while high school students showcase their creativity and teamwork by designing floats for the Homecoming parade. Through friendly competition, school spirit, and community celebration, students create memories and strengthen their connection to one another.
The Big/Little Program creates meaningful connections between our youngest and oldest students. Each kindergarten student is paired with a senior who serves as a mentor, encourager, and friend throughout the school year. This special relationship allows younger students to have a role model while giving seniors the opportunity to practice servant leadership and invest in the next generation of Warriors.
Serving others is an important part of who we are. During Serve Days, students, faculty, staff, and members of our church family come together to serve our local community. These opportunities allow students to put their faith into action by meeting needs, showing compassion, and demonstrating Christ's love to those around them.
Each year, students participate in Spiritual Emphasis Week during the first week of the second semester. Throughout the week, students gather daily for chapel, hear from guest speakers, and are challenged to grow deeper in their faith. The week often includes a service project, providing students with an opportunity to live out what they have learned by serving others.
The Junior/Senior Formal is a special evening where students celebrate the friendships and experiences they have built throughout their high school years. This event provides an opportunity for students to enjoy time together in a memorable setting while practicing respect, responsibility, and fellowship.
Elementary Field Day and Cabbageball is a favorite campus tradition where students enjoy a day of teamwork, competition, and fun. Through games and activities, students build friendships and demonstrate sportsmanship.
At Russell Christian Academy, our events are more than traditions—they are opportunities for students to grow in relationships, develop character, serve others, and experience the joy of being part of a Christ-centered community.
