Dyslexia Program
The Russell Christian Academy Dyslexia Program’s mission is to provide students with dyslexia the opportunity to receive a quality Christian education while accommodating and meeting their individual needs in an encouraging environment. We consider it a joy and a privilege to serve children with dyslexia and their families. We know that these students have incredible God-given potential and take delight in seeing them overcome challenges and excel in their areas of strength.
In addition to providing individualized success plans and accommodations, we strive to provide the “gold standard treatment” for dyslexia by offering Academic Language Therapy services, delivered by certified dyslexia therapists.
We also offer to enrolled students:
-screening services for students K-12
-counseling for comprehensive evaluations
-teacher training/education services
-parent education
-counseling/testing accommodations for standardized tests, including STAR Reading/Math & the ACT
-assistive technology services, including e-textbooks the Lexia computer program, and Hearbuilder
